Craig Gillespie's FRIGHT NIGHT remake hits theaters this Friday August 19th, 2011 and we are here to celebrate. Tom Holland's original FRIGHT NIGHT debuted in 1985 and revitalized the dying vampire genre. Will the remake have the legs to bring "coolness" back to vampire flicks that Twilight tried so hard to destroy? We will find out this Friday!

Of course I'm curious about the remake, but enough with the damn remakes already. I'm going to have to see it eventually to review it though. It sure would be nice to do it for free, then watch the original either to compare the 2 or wash the taste of the remake out of my brain, depending how it is.

I actually saw a pre-screening of this movie a few months ago, and I was pretty happy for it to be remade. I wasn't a huge fan of the original, so it was nice to see some modern twists.
