'Phantasm 5' To Begin Filming This Year?

It's been 14 long years and counting since the last Phantasm film hit the scene, and during that mind-boggling stretch of time fans have incessantly pleaded for another chapter in the popular franchise... well, if what we're hearing is true, and we certainly hope that it is, then it looks like all of our prayers may finally be answered.

Dread Central is reporting exclusively that Phantasm 5 is a reality. According to the article, an extremely reliable source close to Dread confirmed that not only is Phantasm 5 fully scripted but it will begin filming this year. Dread also went on to say that "We would NOT tell you guys that Phantasm 5 is happening and happening soon unless we were at least 95% sure of the news."

So with such a bold statement it certain looks as if the news is legit! Fingers crossed on this way!

Ive been waiting for Phantasm 5 for years.I sure hope if this happens that it gives a conclusion to the story and not end with no resolution like the others because this will probably be the last chance for them to wrap it up and give us the fans a complete ending to this series.Awesome news thanks for letting everyone know.

I hope this in not just a rumor but a fact. I enjoy all the Phantasm movies with the exception of part 4(which was still fairly good) and can't wait to see what they do with another movie.
