Take A Behind-The-Scenes Look At NBC's Upcoming Munsters Reboot

New postby Brian Massey » Tue Jun 12, 2012 10:04 pm

More and more filmmakers are starting to head to Twitter to share a plethora of goodies from upcoming projects to put a temporary halt into all of our curiosities, and writer Bryan Fuller is no exception.

Fuller, via Twitter, gave us a generous peek today at one of Grandpa's outfits from NBC's upcoming reboot of "The Munsters" accompanied by the future house on 1313 Mockingbird Lane, which as you can see from the second image is currently under construction.

In the reboot, now known as Mockingbird Lane, family patriarch Herman -- as in the 1964-66 CBS series -- has a permanent home under Grandpa Munster's thumb. Jerry O'Connell, the most recent addition to the cast will play the role of the lovable, yet goofy Herman. Other castmates include Eddie Izzard, who will play the powerful and quick-witted vampire in a role that was originated by Al Lewis. Mason Cook will play Eddie, the werewolf son of Herman and Lily. Charity Wakefield will tackle the role of the Munsters “plain” cousin.

Bryan Singer will executive produce and direct the pilot which is said to be an edgier and slightly darker take, exploring origins of Herman and Lily Munster and how they arrived at the famed 1313 Mockingbird Lane address.

Fuller needs to lay off the instagram filters. What a waste of time.
