Prequel To Eli Roth's "Cabin Fever" Titled "Cabin Fever: Patient Zero" Gets Director

New postby Shakelford, J. Rusty » Thu Feb 16, 2012 3:53 am

Eli Roth’s "Cabin Fever" proved that the then first time horror director had the chops and where with all to create a unique take on the whole "cabin in the woods" scenario. According to THR, director Kaare Andrews (a renowned comic book writer) is reportedly in final negotiations to board the prequel to the successful 2002 film.

Also according to THR, "Cabin Fever: Patient Zero" will trace the origins of the flesh-eating virus, this time feasting on the passengers of a cruise ship in the Caribbean that runs aground on a research island. Andrews will direct from a script by Jake Wade Wall.

“Patient Zero” will then lead into “Outbreak”. No word on the release date or whether this will follow any of the rules that Ti West's sequel “Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever” set up.
