Voting Open For Spike 2011 SCREAM Awards

New postby dew » Mon Sep 12, 2011 9:11 pm

Voting has opened for the 2011 edition of the Spike SCREAM awards.

Aimed at genre titles produced in the given year, the SCREAM awards give honors to actors and film often overlooked by mainstream media awards. Honors are given for best in horror, scifi and fantasy, as well in independent films and comic book artists, authors and titles.

Horror film nominees for this year include Insidious, Let Me In, Paranormal Activity 2, I Saw the Devil and Piranha 3D.

A particularly interesting category this year is "Most Memorable Mutilation"!

Voting is open now and the awards will premiere on October 18th.

My voting pretty much read X-Men: First Class, X-Men: First Class, X-Men: First Class, Insidious, X-Men: First Class, X-Men: First Class. On a side note, I can't believe that Rubber is up for an award.

I had to vote for Piranha 3D in the mutilation category. I imagine half the audience had to wince at that.
